Supermarket
Parent Company: Wakefern
Dating back to the 1950s, when brothers Joe and Irving Sloan started the company as an Associated Supermarket owner, Morton Williams has established a presence across most of Manhattan. The upscale chain also has locations in the Bronx and Jersey City. Morton Williams officially left Associated around 2010, and was supplied by Wakefern Food (the group that runs ShopRite) until Morton Williams joined Allegiance Retail in 2022. Wakefern sued, arguing that Morton Williams violated their supply contract, and the lawsuit ended with Wakefern buying Morton Williams outright in late 2025.
